The focus of the Manager, Nutritional Science role include the identification and translation of science and technical information to commercial counterparts as part of discovery team. Additionally, this role will own accountabilities in the day-to-day support of regional new product development commercial project teams.  Key skill sets include strong people and management skills, comfort with technical ambiguity, intuitive scientific insights, and ability to communicate and sell ideas/concepts to technical and non-technical audience.    Responsibilities incloude, but are not limited to: Support the Director in driving nutritional innovation and processes across the organization working closely with key strategic cross-functional teams as the voice of Nutrition and Scientific Affairs Play a pivotal scientific and communications role in representing the nutrition function in supporting regional NPD project teams. Advise on emerging scientific issues relating to nutritional supplements Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in specific areas of nutrition and food science Present scientific findings internally to senior management and externally to scientific peers Interface with raw material suppliers and review scientific information to bring scientifically sound next-generation ingredients with nutritional benefits to the market Manage and coach up to 2 scientists Qualifications  The successful candidate will have significant commercial experience in the development and commercialization of  dietary supplements and can demonstrate appropriate translation and communication of technical concepts to the commercial partners. Strong familiarity with USA regulatory, discovery, commercial new product development teams and Stage Gate portfolioprocesses are key to success in this role. The successful candidate will have a minimum of MSdegree in Human Nutrition, Food Science or a related field with 5+ years of commercial industry experience translating science to the marketplace. Experience and demonstrated skill in the communication and presentation of complex scientific and technical data Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate well with colleagues, especially with commercial counterparts Ability to work independently on projects and history of timely tactical executions Ability to critically analyze and synthesize complicated data and scientific information Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously Familiarity with Stage Gate portfolio management processes and systems Ability to think scientifically and strategically while communicating practically to business partners.
